DESTINY & DOMINION
WORD MINISTRIES
OUR VISION
To bring people of all nations and from diverse backgrounds together to be part of the body of Christ. To help each individual discover their God-given destiny and know who they are in Jesus Christ. To help them exercise their Christian authority and to walk in dominion on this earth. Destiny & Dominion Word Ministries is raising up people to represent God’s dominion on this earth.
ABOUT US
Since the beginning, we've been passionate about serving our community. As a church we apply the truth of the Bible to our everyday lives and share life together as a community. On Sundays, you can expect a friendly welcome, a dynamic service, and relevant teaching. We gather collectively as a church to worship Jesus and for discipleship by hearing about Jesus from the bible, worshiping Jesus through song and giving, and serving one another through community and prayer.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by Holy Spirit. We accept the New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; 1 Thessalonians. 2:13)
The Godhead
Our God is one, but manifested in three Persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Philippians 2:6) God the Father is the Sender of the Word (logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28, 16:28, 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16, 15:26)
Man, His Fall, and Redemption
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says, “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “…there is none righteous, no not one” (Romans 3:23, 3:10) Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Romans 5:14; John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
The Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ
Christ, the Son of God, became man, by taking to Himself a true body and a reasonable soul, being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and born of her yet without sin. (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:11-17; Luke 2:27-35)
Eternal Life and the New Birth
Man’s first step towards salvation is Godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men and, when experienced, produces eternal life. (2 Corinthians 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:5)
Commandment of Love
God has commanded each of us to love Him with all our heart, with all our mind and with all our strength; and also to love our neighbours as ourselves. (Matthew 5:43-48; 22:37-40; 1 Corinthians 13:1-13)
Water Baptism
Baptism in water is a declaration to the world that a believer has died with Christ and that they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47; Romans 6:4)
The Lord's Supper
We celebrate the Lord’s supper by eating the bread and drinking of the cup in remembrance of what Jesus did for us on the cross. (1 Corinthians 11:24-30)
Baptism In The Holy Ghost
All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father—the Baptism of the Holy Spirit—according to the command of Jesus Christ. With this comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowal of gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. Speaking in tongues is not the ultimate goal. Our goal is to exercise the fruits of the spirit and to obey His Word. No one is disqualified from serving at Destiny & Dominion if he/she does not speak in tongues. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Matthew 3:11; John 14:16)
Sanctification
The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return. (Hebrews 12:14; 2 Peter 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30)
Divine Healing
Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the Atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. (Mark 16:16; James 5:14, 15; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4,5)
Blessed Hope
Jesus is coming to gather all His saints to Heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1)
Body of Christ
Each believer is an integral part. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23)
Total Prosperity
  • Spiritual (John 3:3, 11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10: 9-10)
  • Mental (2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3)
  • Physical (Isaiah 53: 4-5; Matthew 8:17)
  • Financial (3 John 2; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Philippians 4:19)
  • Social (Proverbs 3:4)
Tithes and Offerings
We believe that members in the body of Christ are to give their tithes (one tenth of all their increase) back to the Lord and give offerings as they are led by the Spirit of God. In doing this, the local church will be able to maintain all financial responsibilities and carry on the biblical teachings of feeding the poor, giving to the widow, the fatherless and homeless. (Malachi 3:8-12; 2 Corinthians 9:1-15; Proverbs 3:9-10; James 1:26-27)
Resurrection Of The Just And The Return Of Our Lord
The angels said to Jesus’ disciples “….this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, “… the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air….” (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests; He shall reign a thousand years. (Revelation 5:10, 20:6)
Hell And Eternal Retribution
The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire and has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel and repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” as used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20, 20:10-15)
YOUR DESTINY
Dear friend,
There is just One way to your Salvation and that is through Jesus Christ. As you take the following steps, you will discover what God’s plan for your life is.
Understand that God loves you and His desire for you is not to perish but to be saved and have eternal life.
  • Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
  • 1 Timothy 2:4 "... God our Saviour, who desires ALL MEN to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
  • John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
  • John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
All are sinners and separated from God – admit that you are a sinner
  • Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
  • Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Be willing to turn from your sinful ways and repent. Jesus is the only way to salvation. Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the dead.
  • John 14:6 “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
  • 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”
Pray the Prayer of Salvation and receive Jesus Christ into your life
  • Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
  • Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
  • John 1:12 “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God”
PRAYER OF SALVATION
If you believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins and rose again, you can know for sure that you will go to heaven. When you pray the prayer below, and mean it with your heart, you will be saved and know that you have eternal life.
Dear Father,
Dear Father, I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life. Lord Jesus, I, now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things I have ever done in my life. I ask that You, please forgive Me and wash away all of my sins by the precious blood that You have shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart. Save my soul right now. I give you my life. I receive You now as my Saviour, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, and I will serve You and follow You the rest of my days. From this moment on, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. I belong to You, and I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.
Amen!
